How will I be paid?

How long will payment take?

How do I get a refund on road tax?
The DVLA will automatically process your road tax refund once they receive confirmation that your car has been scrapped.
How soon can you collect my car?

This will depend on several factors such as your location and your availability, but sometimes on the same day or within 24-48 hours.

Do I need my V5C (Logbook)?
It is better if you have your V5C (logbook). However, you don’t strictly need it to scrap your car, but you will need to prove your identity and provide the scrap dealer with the car’s registration number. You will also need to keep the DVLA records up to date.
